There is nothing quite like a day out at the Cradle of Humankind and this is exactly why it has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, since the year 1999. Constitution Hill

The location was previously a military fort and prison and today it's a museum which is dedicated to telling the tale of how South Africa got its democracy. The fort and prison became notorious for housing some of the country's most famous political figures including Nelson Mandela, Joe Slovo, Albertina Sisulu and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
