To cater to all needs, there are two options available: Affordable Houses, and Tuscan Houses. These houses include common features like a solar geyser, stove, prefab wall around the stand with a carport and gate, and roof insulation.
You'll save on money as all houses comply with the new energy-efficient standards (SANS). Sky City houses also have their own character since paint colours unique to the development were used.
The transport - how will I get around?
If you have a private vehicle, you'll find it an easy drive. The existing access road (R550) from the R59 highway was recently widened and upgraded for better traffic flow. There will also be a fully operational public transport hub.
The amenities - what is available?
The sky's the limit when it comes to amenities. The development has large parks and recreational spaces like jogging trails, jungle gyms, and soccer fields. There is also a community centre, filling station and a church coming soon. Surrounding the community are churches, crèches, clinics, and a police station.
The schools - which ones are close?
Sky City has plenty of school options. The private Royal Schools Sky City opened in 2018 and caters for Grade RRR (4 years old) to Grade 11 (the first Grade 12 group will be in 2021). There are also 15 public schools close by. These include Alberton Primary School, Hoërskool Alberton, and Marais Viljoen High School.
The malls - where will I shop?
Whether you're looking for essentials or shopping up a storm, Sky City caters to your needs. Nearby Sky City Mall has 60 shops from Shoprite, Pep, to Furniture King. Kliprivier Shopping Centre is great for a casual browse after work. Looking for more retail therapy? If you travel 10 minutes, you'll get to Palm Ridge Shopping Centre. Mall of the South is also nearby.
The security - how safe is it?
Rest assured the developers have prioritised your family's wellbeing. Burglar guards are a standard feature on all houses. The development is enclosed within a secure perimeter wall. There are also plans for some sections to be boomed off and the creation of a homeowner's association.
The price - how much do houses cost?
Making Sky City your home won't break your bank balance. The most affordable choice, GAP Houses, are priced from R499 000. Mid-range Affordable Houses are priced from R566 000. The most expensive option, Tuscan Houses, start selling from R649 000 R688 000. Of course, you'll be paying for the style and extra features like washing machine points and instant grass.
The payment - how can I afford it?
