This is in accordance with the vision for the long-term sustainable conservation, use and protection of the Private Nature Reserve, which vision and management can be further shaped by the owner.
Other benefits of being a protected area include:
• Protection from unwanted and intrusive developments such as mining and prospecting;
• Reduced land taxes on those areas of the property that are not developed and a higher status when dealing with other tenure issues such as land restitution (land claims).
