4 Bedroom Riverine Home in Wild Rivers Private Nature Reserve
Amazing river location property. This 4-bedroom bush home is located on the Blyde River which flows throughout the year. The home looks out over a grassy floodplain and onto the river and riverine trees. It’s the sounds of running water that trickles through the air, along with the iconic cry of fish eagle that gives a sense of peacefulness and tranquillity. It’s a spacious property with plenty of views, rooms, storage and is suitable for permanent living or a holiday home.
There is a central living area with a large patio overlooking the river. Shade is provided by a large Marula tree, under which there is a fire pit and braai area. The main living area consists of a lounge, dining area and kitchen, which is an open plan space. There is a large gas stove for cooking family meals in the kitchen and a large kitchen counter. A leadwood tree stump adds bush character to the simplicity of the concrete counters.
Connected to the back of the main living area is a large pantry with lots of storage and a scullery with double sink, dishwasher and washing machine. The back door exits outside into an under-covered roof with a washbasin and lockable dustbins to keep out the wildlife.
The master suite is located alongside the main living area and one can lie in bed or sit on a private patio and enjoy the open views of the river. Behind the headboard wall is a dressing table and large cupboards. The master bathroom has large glass views and one can relax in a bath and enjoy the view. The garden around the building consists of attractive succulents and indigenous plants, which attract butterflies and sunbirds.

The 32 owners own the whole extent of the 2500 ha and have full title ownership of their particular house site which is 10 000 square meters (1 ha). There is a good network of roads across the reserve with several dams and look out points.
The reserve is run by a manager who reports to the Board of Directors of the Home owners association.
The reserve has a large variety of plain game including Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Kudu, Impala, Hippo, Croc, Warthog, Leopard, Nyala, and along with many more mammals. Birdwatching is spectacular with a variety of Raptors and Riverine birds such as the rare Narina Trogon and Pels Fishing owl.
