Greater Kruger at a glance


The Greater Kruger National Park refers to the Kruger National Park itself as well as the Private Game Reserves on the Western border of the Kruger National Park such as Timbavati, Makuya, Letaba, Balule, Klaserie, Umbabat, Manyeleti and Sabi Sand Game Reserves. The legendary Kruger National Park and the surrounding private game reserves combine to form the Greater Kruger Park. 

Located across the provinces of Mpumalanga and Limpopo, this immaculate wilderness area is home to more mammal species than any other reserve in Africa. It is home to the Big Five, the Little Five, buffalo weaver, elephant shrew, leopard tortoise, ant lion and rhino beetle, 114 species of reptile and over 500 bird species. The whole area covers 20 000 000 hectares of unfenced, wild reserve with free movement of game across this spectacular land.
