Registrations and Accreditations in our Industry
Posted: 2nd June 2011
There have been numerous new legislations governing our industry with specific reference to practising Estate Agents, Principals and owners of Real Estate offices and, the rights of consumers.
The Credit Act, the Consumer Protection Act and the RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) qualifications that are now required coupled with the rules and regulations of our own regulating authority, The Estate Agency Affairs Board, has resulted in a situation where a career in the Real Estate Industry is now more of a full time profession and full time career. People wishing to enter the industry need to take note that there will be a legal and financial commitment on their behalf and it is no more a part time career.
Century 21 welcomes these new regulations and we have instituted programmes and procedures within our organisation to ensure that all our agents and principles are compliant. As a company, we invest a lot in our people by way of training and motivation, by offering the Century 21 System, by our rewards and recognition programme - The Pearl Awards, through excellent support networks and the best in marketing and website exposure.
Now that a commitment is needed by agents and principals due to all the legislations we have found that all our agents and principals have a renewed positive focus about their careers and association with Century 21. With this renewed confidence within our family it motivates Century 21 as a brand to employ even more resources on our agents and principals.
Of equal importance however, these regulations and compliance conditions makes it even more critical for anyone wanting to join the industry as an agent or principle, to join a brand that has a structured programme to ensure compliance and success. Also, independent principals and smaller agencies that may be caught “off guard” can now benefit even further through these structured programmes offered by Century 21.
Interested parties are invited to contact us to discuss these matters further.
