Century 21 South Africa welcomes its newest franchisee, Century 21 Jacaranda. The significance of this franchise is that it is a conversion from a well known competing brand to our fabulous Century 21 brand. With Century 21 being the world’s largest upmarket Real Estate brand with 8000 offices in 73 countries, this conversion from a competing brand to Century 21 comes as no surprise and is not uncommon. In today’s times, before anyone in the property community makes a decision of which brand to partner with, the relevance of the brand is a priority in the decision making process. Critical factors like what the brand has to offer by way of tools, marketing, training and aesthetics, its vision and viability for the near and far future and, most importantly, its ability to capture relevant market share within a specific territory or within the whole of South Africa are now under the spotlight before a decision is made by interested parties.

The consortium is headed by a prominent attorney and the manager is Stefan Louw who, again, is a very experienced property “guru” and heavily in demand by all the major brands. The appointment of Stefan Louw is a major coup for Century 21 Jacaranda. Stefan’s experience is vast and emanated from his father many years ago who owned a branded real estate company, in the same areas, and was the dominant agency for many years. Stefan’s last position was that of National Franchise Sales Manager for a prominent competing brand. Again, we agree with his belief that his move to Century 21 is a relevant move.

Pretoria is becoming a critical node for Century 21 as we now have 4 major franchisees in the area. These are Century 21 Lynnwood/Silver Lakes areas, Century 21 Menlyn, Century 21 Jacaranda and Century 21 Centurion. In fact our Lynnwood/Silver Lakes area franchise office is leading in the Century 21 national sales turnover numbers for the 2012 financial year.

With the awarding of this mega Century 21 Jacaranda franchise for the Pretoria areas of Moot, Montana, Pretoria North & West and Silverton, only one main node (the Waterkloof/Brooklyn/Hatfield area) remains for interested parties to take up. Once this one is awarded, Century 21’s footprint would have covered the main areas of Pretoria.
